Baglio Occhipinti Villa is a delightful gem nestled in the Sicilian countryside, with stunning gardens and a well-kept outdoor pool that beckons on warm afternoons. We enjoyed lounging in the shade, while relishing in the fantastic breakfast spread featuring both sweet and savoury options that certainly kick-started our days. Our stay was comfortable, thanks to the well-appointed room, although I initially felt I’d splurged on a pricier option. Thankfully, I managed to switch to a more reasonably priced room that met our needs perfectly. I did appreciate the lovely dining room ambiance, but the fixed dinner menu left something to be desired. While the dishes themselves were great, the lack of choice was somewhat limiting—especially since my husband isn’t a fan of octopus, and my aversion to meat and fish balls came into play. We participated in a cooking class, which was a highlight, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. While luxurious, I found the options to skew towards the expensive side. Ultimately, if you’re looking for a taste of Sicily without breaking the bank, Baglio Occhipinti embodies a lovely blend of value and charm. Plus, it’s pet-friendly, a huge advantage for fellow canine lovers!
